BHOPAL: Forty nine out of 52 districts reported below 10 Covid-19 cases in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday. Only three districts Indore, Bhopal and Jabalpur continue to see cases in two and three digits.
However, eight districts have active cases in the range of 100-500. These include Shajapur (118), Damoh (195), Rajgarh (151), Betul (152), Khargone (123), Sagar(160), Ratlam (346), Ujjain(128), Jabalpur(373) and Gwalior(137). Two districts ñ Indore and Bhopal have active cases in the range of 1000-2000. While the countryís cleanest city has 1,045 active cases, the figure in the state capital stands at 1,712.
Active cases have dipped to 6,325, while 1,132 COVID cases were discharged in the state on Thursday. The state reported 420 corona cases on the day taking the infection tally to 7,87,175 and toll to 8475. Corona positive rate is 0.5 percent.
Around 76,469 samples were sent for testing and 375 samples were rejected at time of testing. Indore reported 129 cases and its tally stands at 1,52,224 and toll 1354. With 107 new cases the Bhopal corona caseload has climbed to 1,22,417 and toll here stands at 962.
Eight dists see no new case
Eight districts reported no new corona cases on Thursday . These districts are Shahdol, Damoh, Panna, Mandala, Harda, Alirajpur, Agar-Malwa and Bhind. While their active cases are 50,195,19,9,24,0,31, and 14 respectively.
Sheopur, Khandwa, Dindori, Umaria, Seoni, Tikamgarh, Morena, Singrauli, Katni, Shivpuri reported just one corona case each and their active cases are 92,13,23,50, 76,29,32,29,15 and 44 respectively.
