HOSHANGABAD: A two-day workshop on juvenile justice and protection of child victims of sexual crimes began here on Wednesday at the One-Stop Centre (Usha Kiran Kendra). The workshop has been organised by the Department of Women Empowerment.
On the first day, master trainers gave detailed information about the provisions regarding the rights of adolescent boys. Deputy director, women’s empowerment Mohini Jadhav, district legal aid officer BM Singh, master trainer Rishi Dubey and others were present.
The workshop was told that 19 per cent of the children in the world reside in India and 40 per cent of them were leading a hard life. The UN has identified 54 types of rights of children. Police inspectors and block-level women’s empowerment officers attended the workshop.
