Bhopal: Crime branch police along with Shahjahanabad and Koh-e-Fiza police claimed to have cracked eight theft cases and arrested four thieves and seized four tola gold, 3.4 kg silver, watches, bike and activa worth lakhs of rupees etc from their possession.
Those arrested include: kingpin Boby alias Sayed Ahmed of Itawa (Uttar Pradesh), who was living in Laxmi Talkies area. There are 10 theft cases of Chhindwara, 7 cases of GRP and two cases are lodged with Hanumanganj police station against him.
Noor Hassan of Delhi, who lives in Boby’s house, Laxmi Talkies, Nasir of Darbhanga, Bihar, who lives in boby’s house, Laxmi Talkies, and Soni Bhimrao Waghmare of Peer Gate. Soni is also from West Bengal. CSP Shahjahanabad Nagendra Pateria said, “In day time, the accused used to do recce of deserted and locked houses and in night, which they used to target.
Boby had housed all the three and Soni is basically from West Bengal and here he lives in Peer Gate area. It is major gang which used to target the identified house after 2.00 O Clock in night.” CSP Pateria said, “ We chalked out plan to round up the habitual miscreants after constituting team of both police stations—Koh-e-Fiza, Shahjahanabad and crime branch under instruction of DIG Irshad Wali. We had solid information about modus operandi of the said accused.”
