Bhopal: Four trains will take senior citizens and their care takers for Kumbh Snanan from February 12 to 26. The programme started by ex-chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan government Mukhya Mantri Tirth Darshan Yojana is being continued by present government of CM Kamal Nath.
Under the scheme senior citizens who had crossed the age of 60 years will going to get an opportunity to attend Kumbh snaan. To assist the citizens one attendant is also permitted with one person.This time one doctor, guide and security personnel will also accompany the senior citizens.
The government is also sending 400 assistants, because to reach the Kumbh area one had take up foot march of around five kilometres. These assistants will assists the senior citizens to reach the area. In each train 900 pilgrims including the care takers will be travelling. The travellers will be provided free of cost lodging boarding, tea, snacks including bus and taxi conveyance.
Train route
The trains will departure from various places covering the particular districts. From February 12 to 16 the train will carry the citizens from Bhopal, Vidisha, Sagar and Damoh will going to reach Kumbh. The train will start from Habibganj Junction and will cross Vidisha, Sagar, Damoh, Varanasi and Allahabad.
From 14 to 18 February the train will start from Burhanpur and cross Khandwa, Harda, Jabalpur, Varanasi and Allahabad. From February 22nd to 26 the train will start from Shivpuri and will cross Guna, Ashoknagar, Katni, Varanasi and Allahabad. The fourth train will start on February 24 from Parasia, and will cross Betul, Itarsi, Narsinghur, Varanasi and Allahabad.
