BHOPAL: Three medical colleges Indore, Jabapur and Rewa are going to get more seats from next academic session. The proposal to increase seats from 150 to 250 is going to be brought in the cabinet meeting on Monday. Many other proposals will also be presented in the meeting for approval. Admission in the three medical colleges including Indore, Jabalpur and Rewa will be conducted for 100 more seats in each college from next academic session. Presently the colleges have 150 seats each, after approval the admission capacity will increase to 250 per college.
The financial budget approval for the other two under construction medical college, Chhindwara and Shivpuri, for purchase of equipments, furniture, vehicles and appointment of teaching faculty will also be present.
The government will present the proposal for the life long pension of Rs 5000 to the victims of Barwani eye operation issue. About 60 patients eyes were botched in Barwani eye surgery camp on the November 23, 2015, the government will provide pensions to the victims.
A proposal will also be brought to appoint the accountants in the Sarv Siksha Abhiyan at district and block level.
The proposal regarding the departmental inquiry against many retired officials will be present in the meeting for the approval.
The Government of India have demanded the land in district Morena to establish the defence project in the district, to establish Rural Yuva Kendra the proposal of which will also be presented.
