BHOPAL: Aishbagh police on Saturday claimed to have arrested 5 miscreants including three minors involved in stabbing a 24-year-old youth to death and leaving his uncle critically injured after assaulting a man for stopping them from peeing in public near a country liquor shop at Pul Bogda area on February 6. One of their accomplices is still at large.
ASP Zone 1 Sanjay Sahu while talking to media-persons said that those arrested include Akram Khan, 27, of Jawahar Colony in Aishbagh and Deepak Rathore, 23, of Housing Board colony whereas three accused are minors. Their aide Sameer of Nishatpura is still absconding.
On Feb 6, one of the members of gang was peeing in public in-front of a welding shop near a country liquor shop at Pul Bogda of Morarji Nagar area when he was stopped by mechanic Waris Ali after which dispute broke out among them and accused after thrashing mechanic attacked him with knife on his back following which Waris ran from the spot in order to save his life.
The accused were chasing him while hurling abuses, to this the deceased Unesh Khan (24) and his uncle Abdul Tehzeeb (52) objected after which, the miscreants stabbed Unesh in his neck which resulted in his death and Abdul got his fingers injured in a bid to save him. One of the accused was caught in the footage of CCTV camera while escaping from the spot. The deceased Unesh was son of Abdul Bahav, a worker of Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC). His father has recently passed away and after his death, he was supposed to get a job there under compassionate grounds.
