Malhargarh: Malhargarh police on Tuesday arrested three accused who allegedly kidnapped one constable in their car and bashed him up. One more accused who was involved in the crime is still at large. Those who were arrested include Gajendra, 31, son of Mohanlal Gwala; Azad, 34, son of Kanhiyalal Kumawat and Satish 30, son of Ganpat Kumawat.
One Rajesh, son of Mohanlal Kumawat, resident of Mandsaur is still on the run. Police registered case against four under Sections 365 (kidnapping), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 294 (obscene acts), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of Indian Penal Code. According to complainant constable Bhupendra Singh, when he along with one Rajesh Parjapati was going towards the road side dhabba at around 10:30 pm to have meal, they saw all four accused in a suspicious condition in a swift car (MP04/CH2181) near Changeri Phata.
When Bhupendra Singh tried to find what the matter was and questioned them, accused bashed him and kidnapped him in their car. They beat him inside the car and later left him near Pipliya Mandi situated Chaupati. Later, Bhupendra Singh informed control room. Acting swiftly into the matter, Mandsaur Kotwali police arrested three of them and handed them over to Malhargarh police.
Complainant added that at the time of the incident, he was in plain clothes and even tried to show his identity card, but they still continued beating him inside the car and even at one time tried to throw him in the Chaldu river.
When contacted Malhargarh police station in-charge BL Solanki said that case has been registered against all four accused under relevant sections and search for one abscondee is still on. On Wednesday, police will produce all of them in court. Police informed that the car which was used in the crime belongs to one Jitendra Pancholi, brother of Mandsaur BJP leader Baba Pancholi. Jitendra informed that he left his car at Prabhukripa Service Centre of one of the accused Gajendra Gwala on Monday. Police added that all the accused are involved in various criminal cases in different police stations in Mandsaur district.
