Bhopal: Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) is going to conduct its second Regional Consultation Workshop for 15th finance commission recommendations on January 17. It is being organised for enriching current tax devolution formula for increased allocations of funds towards forest, environment & climate change” in collaboration with Forest Survey of India, Dehradoon and IORA Ecological Solutions, New Delhi.
Currently representatives from forest, environment, planning, and finance departments from 16 states are expected to participate in this one-day workshop. Indu Kumar Pande advisor finance government of Uttarakhand shall be the chief guest on the occasion.
IIFM director Pankaj Srivastava informed that the recommendations are being prepared through nationwide consultation process and first such consultation was done in Delhi on 19th December 2018 and now the second consultation is being organised at IIFM.
