HOSHANGABAD: A ‘Beneficiary Meet’ of the beneficiaries of different welfare schemes of the Central and the state governments was organised on the premises of Kali Mandir at Bhilpur Karbala in Ward 27 of the town on Thursday, where the second installment of the subsidy under PM Housing Scheme was handed over to 27 beneficiaries. CMO Pawan Kumar Singh urged the beneficiaries to complete the construction of their houses before the monsoon. He also asked whether they were facing any problems in the construction of houses. The people said drinking water was a problem. The CMO asked the in-charge officer to look into the issue.

On this occasion, former minister Madhukar Rao Harne, municipality chairman Akhilesh Khandelwal and others were present. Khandelwal said it was the desire of PM Modi and CM Chouhan that every person should have a roof over his head by 2022. He said he would hold ‘Hitgrahi Milan’ functions in every ward to know the situation at the ground level vis-à-vis the implementation of different schemes. Harne said since the formation of the BJP government in the state, a string of schemes had been launched for the welfare of the economically weaker sections of society.
