BHOPAL: “The state government is trying to provide each and every facility to the police officers and other employees. In coming five years the government will provide 25,000 houses for the police force around the state,” said home minister Bhupendra Singh Thakur in a function to inaugurate the housing colony at Idgah Hills, on Tuesday.
The minister added that while building the colony modern techniques and facilities were used. The houses have been constructed by Police Housing Corporation. He added many other organisations were asking to construct their buildings from the corporation.
Energy minister Paras Chand Jain said the state police was one of the best police forces in the country. In Simhastha the police showed their exemplary work and did not allow even a single untoward incident.
MLA Arif Akeel praised the corporation’s construction and asked the minister to construct more houses for the police in Bhopal. DGP Rishi Shukla said every day the police were facing new challenges, but they were capable of facing the challenges of terrorism or Naxalism and had suppressed incidents. The police had controlled every situation promptly in the state, he added.
MD Sanjay Rana said 128 houses were constructed in Rs 12.80 crore. In the colony sewerage treatment plant and solar power plant were established.
