Bhopal: 2 University and 5 college buses seized

Over seven buses were seized for violating safety and security related norms. These buses were not having speed governors, fitness certificates or other required accessories.

BHOPAL: The police on Tuesday inspected the buses engaged in ferrying students of schools and colleges in the city.

Over seven buses were seized for violating safety and security related norms. These buses were not having speed governors, fitness certificates or other required accessories.

Few of the buses had their CCTV cameras, fire extinguishers or GPS not working. After seizing the buses, challans were slapped against the owners of the buses and were also instructed to adhere to the guidelines of the Supreme Court.

Cops inspected 45 buses on the day and took action against the erring buses. The buses that were found plying on roads sans the required rules being followed include those of Jagran Lake City University, Sagar Group College, SRK University, Patel college, Parashar group, LNCT college and SAM college.
