Bhopal: State Cyber Cell arrested two Nigerian nationals from Delhi for duping a Bhopal-based woman of Rs10 lakh. A large number of electronic devices, numerous documents of different bank accounts and foreign currency were recovered from the accused identified as Stefan Chukuwuma and Vivian Aghlore who were nabbed from Tilak Nagar colony of New Delhi. The woman lodged a complaint with Cyber Cell stating that the accused made her friend over Facebook. They posed as working in America. The accused told her that they had sent a gift box for her which was caught by customs officers. The told her the box contained huge amount of foreign currency which could now put her in trouble and demanded Rs10 lakh to safe her.

The victim said that she provided the money to accused but later realised that she has been cheated. Then she lodged a complaint with the Cyber Crime Cell. During investigation, police tracked the accused in New Delhi and nabbed them. Police have recovered a laptop, 15 mobile phones, fake SIM cards, internet dongle, pen drives, and documents of different bank accounts, debit cards and cheque books. The police have registered a case under Section 419, 420, 467, 471 of the IPC and Section 66C and 66 D of the I-T Act.
