Bhopal: 2 killed, 1 injured as scooter rams tree

Bhopal: Two persons died while one escaped with serious injuries after the scooter they were riding rammed into a tree on at around 10:30pm on Monday. The incident happened when, while taking a turn at KN Pradhan Chouraha under Jahangirabad police station their bike skidded and rammed into a tree.

According to SHO Jehangirabad, Anil Bajpai, the deceased are: 24-year-old Suresh Kanaujiya and 22-year-old Gungun. The injured youth is Ashish. Suresh was brother of 7th battalion of SAF constable Manoj Kanojiya. Police said that on Monday evening, Suresh and his friends went to VIP Road for outing on a scooter bearing registration number MP-04-SY-9507.

The two-wheeler was driven at high speed therefore all of them fell on road and the passerby informed 108 ambulnace and they were rushed to Hamidia hospital where doctor declared Suresh and Gungun brought dead. The condition of Ashish is said to be critical. A case of accidental death has been registered and after the post-mortem examinations, bodies of the deceased have been handed over to their family members for their last rites.
