BHOPAL: A 16-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging self from the ceiling fan of her house after her mother allegedly scolded her for too much internet surfing on her mobile phone on Sunday night at Piplani locality here. No suicide note was found from the spot which could suggest the exact reason behind her suicide, but the police have registered the matter under Section 174 of CrPC and investigations are on.
According to the police, identified Falguni Sharma, the victim was the only child of her parents and lived in Nagarjun Nagar of Piplani. On Sunday evening she was with her mother in the house while her father was busy in his work in office. She was surfing the internet in the mobile phone and using Facebook when her mother saw her and scolded her for too much internet surfing.
Falguni then put her mobile phone away and went inside her room on the first floor of the house. She locked her inside the room. After a few hours her mother went to call her for dinner at her room but to no reply. Falguni had just finished her exams and was at home in holidays. The mother somehow opened the door and was shocked to find her body hanging from the ceiling fan of the room. She brought her down and shouted for help. Neighbours then immediately rushed her to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead by the doctors.
