Bhopal: 108 Ambulance drivers stage demonstration

BHOPAL: 108 Ambulance drivers staged a demonstration at Ambedkar Park on Thursday demanding that 108 Ambulance be included in permanent employees and tender system be abolished. The agitation was held under 108 Ambulance Karmachari Sangh Madhya Pradesh. They also demanded that working hours be reduced to the standard time of eight hours instead of 12 hours and pay should also be given according to performance, payment of gratuity of 108 Deendayal National Ambulance Service, MP and investigation of the financial discrepancies in NHM. Aslam Khan informed that the motive of the demonstration was to bring in light the problems that 108 drivers had been facing. The payment made to the drivers was very less as compared to the time devoted by them, he alleged.
