BHOPAL: The development work for state’s first smart classroom began on Thursday at the state-run Naveen girl’s school in Tulsi Nagar. The city will have smart classes in 107 state-run schools. Minister PC Sharma performed Bhoomi Pujan at the site.
Addressing the gathering the minister said that now the students of government schools would also get the education on a par with private schools.The entire project will be developed at a cost of Rs 44 crore, monitored by Integrated command and control center (ICCC) at Bhopal smart city development corporation limited (BSCDCL).
These smart classes in 107 schools will be operational from next academic session beginning this June. The smart classes will have several facilities that are currently available in private schools and beyond the reach of every student.
Smart boards, projectors, online study material, smart laboratory, extra classes from ITMS and other things are part of the smart classes. Similar classes are also being developed in Sagar and Satna districts; the monitoring of which will be done from Bhopal.
