Bhopal: 1 dead, 2 injured as SUV turns turtle

BHOPAL: In a tragic incident, an 18-year-old youth died while two others escaped with injuries after the tyre of a four-wheeler in which they were onboard busted and it rammed into a tree and turned turtle near Manikhedi under Gunga police station area late in the night on Saturday.

Police said that the incident involving a Toyota Qualis bearing registration number MP04-HB- 1565 took place around 12:30am. The group was returning after attending a marriage function.

After the mishap, the injured were rushed to anearby hospital by the local villagers and police where one of them was declared dead. The deceased has been identified as Manoj Kushwaha son of Chandan Singh while Gucchi Lal and Bhura are still unconscious and are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Police said it could not be ascertained if the youths were drunk as the post mortem report is awaited. The car was moving at a high speed due to which the driver failed to control the car, added police. After the preliminary investigation the body has been sent for postmortem. A case has been registered under Section 174 of the CrPC.
