DHAR : Tension is mounting in Dhar town ahead of Vasant Panchami, to be celebrated on Friday, as the president of Bhoj Ustav Samiti Vijay Singh Rathore along with thousands of his supporters staged a two-hour ‘Satyagrah’ in front of the disputed monument to oppose the administrative move of erecting barricades around entire area.
Interestingly, the member of Parliament from Dhar constituency Savitri Thakur, along with her supporters, also visited Bhojshala and criticised the district administration for putting the local citizens under fear. Echoing the voice of Bhoj Ustav Samiti’s leaders, she also reiterated that Hindus should be allowed to perform puja from dawn to dusk at Bhojshala on Vasatn Panchami.
Savitri Thakur also assured the leaders of Bhoj Ustav Samiti that she would talk to the top district officers and discuss the issue of barricading. Later, speaking to the media persons, Thakur said she would always favour for performing the puja whole day at Bhojshala.
Bhoj Utsav Samiti president Rathore blamed the divisional commissioner for mounting pressure of fear in Dhar town. Both Savitri Thakur and Vijay Singh Rathore were of the opinion that there was no need of erecting a huge network of barricades in the name of security.
