BHOPAL: The exhibition of ‘Pithora’ Bhil paintings remained the centre of attraction for the second consecutive day of the celebrations of International Day for Indigenous People, organised at the Tribal Museum from August 9 to 11. The ‘Pithora’ style paintings, drawn by Pema Fatya, comprise shapes of animals and different lines. A lecture by Ashok Sharma was organised on Monday about the use of figures and their importance in the Bhil paintings. Pema Fatya thanked the Museum for organising the exhibition and said that such events are important to preserve the tribes and their culture.
