BHOPAL : Tapan Bhaumik assumed the charge as chairman of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (MPTDC), at its office situated at Bhadbhada Road on Wednesday. The corporation’s Managing Director Hariranjan Rao and Additional Managing Director Tanvi Sundriyal welcomed Bhaumik. Bhaumik was also welcomed by staff members.
Bhaumik in his address said there is immense potential of tourism in the state. He said that tourism in the state would reach new heights and attempts would be made to match international standards in tourism. Minister of state for tourism, Surendra Patwa said MPTDC had received 6 out of 12 prizes at national level in 2015 and it would further progress in the coming years.
