BHOPAL: A day after Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan cautioned the party workers to remain vigilant, Congress state chief too came up with a warning on Monday asking his party workers to be watchful of the activities of BJP members. The warning comes a day ahead of the counting of votes to be held on Tuesday across the state. “BJP workers may try to create ruckus, fuss and dispute on counting day, but the Congressmen should keep their mind cool as they have been doing for last 12 days”, PCC president Kamal Nath told party workers, here on Monday.
Nath reviewed the arrangements of the party preparedness for the big day at PCC and issued necessary instructions. “BJP will create unnecessary issue during the counting and will provoke Congressmen and importantly try to break their confidence too,” cautioned the Congress state chief. However, he exuding confidence on Election Commission and district administration, said that the party is of firm belief that the officials will perform their duties in impartial manner and will respect voters’ mandate.
Meanwhile, ahead of the counting, Congressmen have started queuing up at temples and shrine seeking divine blessing. Many were seen engaged in puja, Yagna and visiting temples. The Congressmen performed Yagna at the temple at lower lake in the city. The leader of opposition Ajay Singh visited Dharkundi Ashram and also offered prayer at Maihar temple.
