BHOPAL: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, speaking at the two- day party convention at Gwalior on Saturday, urged the party workers to stay alert and counter the false propaganda of Congress during the run- up to the assembly elections in the state.
Chauhan appealed to the party workers to be aggressive in tackling the allegations of Congress. He asked them to reach out to the public and apprise them of the developmental work done in the state. Chauhan said we need to make 2003 as base year to understand the graph of progress. He said in 2003, the power production was 2900 megawatt, which has been raised to 10,615 megawatt.
He said power production will reach to 14000 megawatt in the coming time. Chauhan challenged Congress to attain the target of 24 hours power supply in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.
Chauhan said it is our commitment to free Madhya Pradesh from fear, hunger and corruption. He also urged the party workers to ensure that the benefits of government schemes be extended to common man.
State BJP chief Narendra Singh Tomar announced at the meet that the chief minister will launch his ‘ Jan Ashirvaad yatra’ in state from July- end.
