BHOPAL : An engineering student, who was injured after being hit by an unidentified vehicle in Ayodhya Nagar on Thursday night, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Peoples Hospital on the wee hours of Friday. With this death the toll of death that died in the accident reached three.
Ayodhya Nagar police is still groping in the dark regarding the identity of which knocked down two youths at Ahinsha Vihar Colony when they were heading toward their house along with their handcarts. The engineering student was hit by the unidentified vehicle merely 18-20 metres away from the spot in front of Sagar Avenue and the timing was same. It is suspected that all the accidents were done by the same vehicle.
TI Ayodhya Nagar Ashish Pawar said that the incident took place around 11-11.30 pm on Thursday night when the deceased Pritpal Singh Baghel, and Devendra Singh Baghel, son of Bhure Singh Baghel, resident of Saidham Colony, both brother-in laws in relation were returning house in Ayodhya Nagar area along with their handcarts from Ahinsha Vihar Colony.
In the meantime, a speeding unidentified vehicle rammed into their handcarts and as a result they were thrown around 50 metre away on the road. The intensity of the mishap was so that they both fell unconscious and sustained multiple injuries on their body.
Another youth Aditya Mourya, son of Ajay Mourya, resident of Sagar Avenue, was going home walking when the errant driver hit him from behind. He was a first year student of TIT Engineering college while his father was an engineer. He was rushed to People’s hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
TI Ayodhya Nagar Ashish Pawar said that as of now a case under section 304-A of the IPC has been registered against unidentified vehicle and further probe was on in the case.
