BHOPAL: A habitual criminal of Talaiya police station was arrested by the Piplani police on Tuesday in connection with lifting auto-rickshaw and two wheelers from different parts of the city within a month.Besides the arrest, the police also recovered stolen three bikes, a scooty and an auto-rickshaw all to the tune of Rs 3 lakh from his possession.

Police said the arrested accused was identified as Haseen (35), of Itwara locality and was a habitual criminal of Talaiya area.The police further said the arrest was made during vehicle checking drive of the police in Kalpana Nagar where the accused was riding a splendor bike without registration number.

The police asked to present the documents of the bike in which he failed following which he was brought to the Piplani police station where he confessed to have stolen the bike.During further interrogation, the arrested accused said he used to lift vehicles to fulfill his need of brown sugar to which he was heavily addicted.
