BHOPAL : A gang of vehicle lifters was held by TT Nagar police at Tuesday night from Platinum Plaza area. Cops recovered ten bikes worth Rs 3 lakh from them.
According to police sources, a team of cops got information that an auto driver was trying to sell a pulsar bike at cheap price. Cops when found Imran, son of Javed, of Budhwara with a pulsar bike. Cops found that the bike was stolen from TT Nagar area. Later police also nabbed his accomplices identified as Mohsin of Budhwara and a minor. As cops started interrogation, he confessed to lifting ten bikes from separate areas of the city with the help of his brother Rehan and Mohsin.
Imran is a history sheeter of Mangalwara police station, while Rehan was involved in more incidents of vehicle lifting with another gang. Police have registered an FIR and are interrogating them for more details, while Rehan alias Bittu is absconding.
In another incident of Piplani area, a bike lifter Moin Khan of Annantpura Kokta, with another Kalu of Hataikheda Pathar stole a bike from Jehangirabad area and was trying to sell it at Ratnagiri T-square. Moin was held by Piplani police with the bike and interrogated for more incidents of bike lifting.
