BHOPAL : It took almost 20 days for the Gandhi Nagar police to reach to a conclusion that the 25-year-old Central Industrial Security Force’s (CISF) constable Ritu Kumari posted at Bhopal airport who shot herself on August 5 was molested by her senior officer.

Finally on Tuesday, following the instructions of ADG woman cell Aruna Mohan Rao, the city police registered a case of molestation against CISF’s Deputy Commandant.

SP (North) Arvind Saxena while talking to the ‘Free Press’ said that a case under sections 354, 354 (A)-1 & 4, 354 (D)-1 of IPC has been registered against Deputy Commandant Vijay Dhankar.

Saxena further said that earlier victim woman constable Ritu Kumari has written a letter addressing to Chairperson of State Women Commission Upma Rai in which she mentioned that on the day of incident Dhankar called her for hearing in his cabin asking explanation for reporting late on duty on August 4.

Meanwhile, as other officials exit from Dhankar’s chamber, all of her surprise, he pulled Ritu Kumari towards him and after keeping his one hand on her private parts Dhankar said “Tumko apni Rani banakar rakhunga” following which she escaped from there and later on the next day being upset over the behavior of Deputy Commandant shot self.

Taking cognizance of the letter ADG woman cell Aruna Mohan Rao instructed the police team investigating into the case to register a case of molestation against Vijay Dhankar.

Meanwhile, a day before the police action, Vijay Dhankar was transferred to Durgapur in West Bengal and was shifted from airport security department while on his place Dharmveer Yadav has been made Deputy Commandant in Bhopal.
