Hosahngabad : Principal Secretary Ashish Upadhyay has said that all farmers should be provided information on organic farming as well as about advanced farming.
The PS, while reviewing Krishi Mahotsav program and Krishi Kranti Rath activities, said that the Kranti Rath is travelling to 295 villages and explaining benefits of organic farming to the farmers besides providing soil testing facility.
Upadhyay said that a special plan of action should be prepared for those villages where the Rath is not visiting. He asked the collector to provide information about agricultural techniques to such villages. He said that only 90,000 villagers out of 1,75,000 are getting SMS about agricultural techniques and Krishi Rath. He asked the officials to ensure that information about organic farming and advanced techniques reaches all farmers.
The PS inquired about Kisan Credit Card beneficiaries, soil testing, agricultural seminars, fertilizers etc in the review meeting. Collector Sanket Bhondwe, District Panchayat CEO Abhijit Agarwal, Additional Collector HC Meena and other official were present in the meeting.
