Grant to ensure quality treatment and to promote research was discussed in a high level meeting of AIIMS Bhopal administration with delegates of union government’s Ministry of Health and family welfare (MoHFW). Secretary health Preeti Sudan and Dr DS Gangwar met AIIMS director Dr Sarman Singh over financial assistant from central government. Recently a doctor had died as he could not find ambulance facilities in AIIMS premises. AIIMS administration was in the dock over such incidence. Dr Sarman Singh has been focusing on fund especially for research and quality medical treatment in AIIMS.
However, it is not clear so far that how much fund, AIIMS, Bhopal will seek in the meeting. According to sources the fund or grant will be finalised by Union government on the basis of requirements which will be fulfilled step- by -step. AIIMS focus will be on research, recruitment of medical experts among other facilities. AIIMS Bhopal needs facilities of more ambulance. Four ambulances will be launched soon. High-tech ambulance facility especially within AIIMS premises is basic need which AIIMS administration wants.
