Nagda : The Nagda Grasim Management held a press conference at HRD hall to highlight main points of the agreement between labourers and management.

The press conference was addressed by the institute’s senior vice president, V K Sharma. The press conference was an attempt to address the various issues related to the agreement.

Vice president, V K Sharma, stated that “the Grasim industry is going through a financial crisis. There is a recession at international market and this leads to a tough competition in fiber industry. A good quality fiber for low price is sufficiently available in international market.

China made fiber remaining to be a big challenge for the fiber production of Grasim. After all these circumstances, the agreement which took place between the laborers and the management is indeed a good step towards the welfare of the labour class.”

Vice president stated that considering the lower quality production done at the industry, the five yearly hike in salaries agreement is highly in favour of the labourers from many facets. The press conference concluded cordially where both sides, journalists and management were supportive and positive towards each other. Journalists shot many questions, which were answered by vice president skillfully though some tension prevailed when the journalists demanded Xerox of the agreement.
