Administration ready to face dengue Swine Flu

SAGAR : The district and health department had prepared themselves to face the odds relating the dengue and swine flu cases in the district. The health department had prepared the district hospital and also identified the four private hospitals for cause.

Informing in the press conference the collector Ashok Kumar Singh and the CM&HO Dr DK Koshal informed that a 10 bedded ward had been established in the district hospital and  10 beds in the Bundelkhand Medical College for the swine flu patients. Till date 4 cases had been reported out of this, three cases had been found positive and one case is found negative.

The administration had also identified four private hospitals, which are well equipped to treat the swine flu cases. The collector requested that the patients who are finding themselves infected with the swine flu, shall not visit the quacks and also they shall not take the Temiflue tablets with their own line of treatment.

Whereas the patients who are admitted in the private hospital had to pay the other charges of the hospital, only the specific medicine will be provided free of cost.

The CM&HO Dr Koshal claimed that till date 16 cases of dengue had been reported. Four cases are reported in the government hospitals and other 12 cases are reported in the private hospitals. The private hospitals had conducted the card test.

The nodal officer Dr. Amithabh Jain informed that the normal blood platelets count is between 1 lakh and 50 thousand to 4 lakh and 50 thousand, but the patient having less than 10 thousand are in danger zone, only these patients are needed to take platelets.

The line of treatment for category one and two can be cured at block level hospitals. For the category 3, the district hospital is fully equipped
