BHOPAL : The exercise for an administrative reshuffle has begun after the DPC meeting clearing the promotion of IAS officers of the 1992 batch. Collectors, Secretaries and Principal Secretaries may be affected by the reshuffle.
The orders for the promotion of IAS officers of the 1992 batch from Secretary to Principal Secretary level are yet to be released. Among them, Health Commissioner Pankaj Agarwal, Woman Empowerment Commissioner Kalpana Shrivastava and Home Secretary Seema Sharma may get new postings. The BMC Commissioner Tejaswi Naik, against whom local MLAs had registered their strong protest, is likely to be shifted.
Efforts are being made to get Naik posted as Collector but there is little possibility of the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan agreeing to it.
KK Singh may also be relieved of the additional charge of Revenue Department. Revenue Minister Rampal Singh has requested Chauhan to remove Singh. The latter also wants to get rid of the Revenue Department.
Public Works Department Principal Secretary, Pramod Agarwal and Public Health Engineering Department, Principal Secretary, Ashwini Rai may be shifted due to the controversies they were caught it.
There is a proposal to transfer Principal Secretary, Scheduled Castes, Ashok Shah and Principal Secretary, Scheduled Tribe, BR Naidu. The districts where people’s representatives are not having a good rapport with Collectors may get new Collectors.
Sources said Chauhan and Chief Secretary Antony De Sa will have a meeting on administrative reshuffle later this week, after which the transfer list may be released.
