Hoshangabad :  Four people who were accused of attacking a media person were sent to jail without any proper identification.

This action was taken after getting prior information of former CM Digvijay Singh’s visit but the accused were not identified in front of the attacked media persons. Significantly, no action was taken against the people who attacked the media person from last four days.

When the police got information that former CM Digvijay Singh is arriving at Hoshangabad, they immediately arrested four people from Indra colony of Itarsi and produced them before the court without any identification from the victims. The accused people have been sent to the central jail. According to the sources, a correspondent of a news channel named Prashant Dubey was attacked by the goons of sand mafia when he went out to cover the illegal mining at Aanchalkheda sand mine.

They were also kidnapped and their equipments were broken. On Dubey’s complaint, police registered a case under section 365, 341, 294, 323, 506 and 147 and arrested Deepak Gondane, Anshul Mishra, Sumit Mandal and Rohit Mandal but after four days. The Vyapari Mahasangh, Leopard Welfare Society, retired officers’ union and other supported the media person. FPNS
