BHOPAL : Aam Aadmi Party leader Ashutosh Gupta said, “The target of the party is to have strong base for the Vidhan Sabha Election 2018”.
Gupta was speaking in a press conference at a hotel after addressing the state workers rally at Iqbal Maidan. He said, “We have set a target that by the end of 2016, we will develop a strong party here with a slogan ‘One booth ten youth’. The party is aware of the deteriorated condition of Madhya Pradesh. The electricity and petrol rates are the highest in the country here. MP has one of the worst health systems, which has recently been seen in cases of Morena, Indore, Bhopal itself. I am not counting the rural areas as of now. By 2018 election, we will give Madhya Pradesh an option apart from BJP, under whose 13 years governance 46 districts are drought stricken.”
While talking to media persons he also commented upon the current stir over reservation in promotion saying, “The party has clear views regarding reservation. The constitutional laws shall stay as they are but yes if there is a need of change, party will consider it.” He also said that if the party comes to power, not a single culprit of Vyapam scam will be spared, even if it includes Shivraj Singh Chouhan or any other minister. As of the election manifesto he said that like other states, in Madya Pradesh too, AAP will talk to people about their problems before coming up with election manifesto.
