BHOPAL :AICC general Digvijay Singh, while interacting with media here on Saturday said, “In view of the atmosphere prevailing in the country and the words and language being used like ‘leave the country’ and ‘go to Pakistan’, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and his wife’s views were not wrong.”
Actor Aamir Khan had said that his wife Kiran Rao had asked if they should move out of the country, as she feared for the safety of their children in a climate of insecurity. His comment had generated much controversy.
Singh, on illegal appointment in Vidhan Sabha said, “All the appointments are cabinet approved and the note sheets bear my signature so there is no problem from any kind.”
In reply to question on Goods and Service Tax (GST), Singh said, “Congress has put up three objections and government should take them into consideration for getting parliament nod. Earlier, PM Narendra Modi did not consider any view of any body as he was enjoying thumping majority in Parliament. But now he called ex-PM Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi for discussion on GST. It shows that even Modi has started thinking that government is run by consensus not only by majority.”
