5- 10% hike in land registration rates proposed

BHOPAL: Collector guideline has proposed a hike in land registration rate from 5 per cent 10 per cent. No hike has been proposed in land registry rate in the colonies where property rate has not been increased. No rate has been increased for EWS and LIG, slums areas. And wherever, hike has been proposed, it is according to hike in market rates.

Collector Nishant Warbade chaired the meeting. MLA Vishwas Sarang, District registrar NS Tomar and officials were present.MLA Vishvas Sarang has opposed the hike of registry rate in Collector guideline and said that hike should be reasonable and scientific. It is not justified to increase the rate unnecessary, he added.

District registrar NS Tomar said, ” In general, 5 per cent to 10 per cent hike has been proposed in collector guidelines. We have not proposed any hike for EWS, slums and for those areas where land rate has not increased.”
