UMARIA: The power crisis in the state has worsened as four out of five units of Sanjay Gandhi Thermal Station at Mangathar have stopped generating electricity. The power generation capacity of four units is 210mw each while rest of the one unit is of 500mw. The joint capacity of all five units is 1,340mw. The 1st, 2nd and 4th units of 210mw and the fifth unit, the only one having the capacity 500mw electricity generation have gone totally defunct. The only operational unit is also not working to its full capacity and generating only 167mw electricity.
