29 Swine Flu, dengue patients identified in state so far

BHOPAL : Chief Secretary Anthony de Sa reviewed the preparations to deal with the spread of Dengue, Swine Flu and Malaria in the state here on Tuesday.

He directed to make available necessary medicines in all district hospitals and medical colleges. The meeting was informed that the Public Health and Family Welfare Department has started an intensive drive to check malaria, dengue, swine flu etc. Isolation wards have been set up in hospitals.

At the district level, ASHA workers, ANMs etc have been trained. Test kits and medicines have been made available from village to development block to district levels. Malaria test kits have been distributed at village level so that blood test can be done and medication started at the earliest. The Central government has been urged to provide requisite testing kits for testing of dengue and swine flu. Health Department has ensured all arrangements for treatment. As per the information collected by the department from districts, 29 cases of Dengue and Swine Flu have been reported this month so far. Field officers have also been directed about malaria. Steps are also being taken to create awareness among people in the state for effective control and treatment of diseases. Principal Secretary Health Gauri Singh, Principal Secretary Medical Education Vinod Semwal, Health Commissioner Pankaj Agrawal and others attended the meeting.
