BHOPAL : Bharatiya Janata Party is going to organise a convention of its ‘ Palak, Sanyojak’ and booth- level in- charges in the city on the lines of RSS meetings.

As many as 25,000 party workers across the state would attend this convention.

This time the party workers, instead of staying in hotels and inns, would be lodging at the houses of 11000 party workers. This is a practice generally observed during meetings of RSS, where their leaders stay in people’s houses.

It would be first convention organised by state BJP when party workers would stay at houses of party workers. This is being done on the initiative of BJP state organisational general secretary Arvind Menon in this regard. Earlier, Menon had organised a meeting of BJP state- level Working Committee at Balaghat, where the party workers stayed at houses and it was widely appreciated.

The convention would begin at Dussehra Maidan, BHEL, Bhopal on October 30. The concluding function of the two- day convention may be held at Jamboree Maidan. BJP national president Amit Shah and Union Minister for Urban Development Venkaiah Naidu would be invited in it.

The invitees of the convention would stay at the residences of party’s corporators, public representatives and workers.

A meeting regarding the convention was also organised on Thursday at State Party Office. State President Nandkumar Singh Chauhan, state organization general secretary Arvind Menon, Satyendra Bhushan Singh, Alok Sharma, Vijesh Lunawat and other officebearers attended the meeting and discussed on the preparation arrangement.
