BHOPAL : The Nishatpura Police on Wednesday registered a case of abduction of an eight-year-old girl who went missing from Karond Mandi in Nishatpura area. Complainant Roopa Ahirwar, a resident of Nishatpura area told police that two weeks ago, she had gone for work at Karond Mandi leaving behind her eight-year-old daughter Prachi along with her husband at house.
The incident occurred when her husband went to take bath and Prachi was playing outside her house. After ten minutes when her husband came out, he could not spot Prachi.
Even after searching for her at houses of neighbours and relatives the girl could not be traced after which the matter was reported to police.
However the matter was reported to police on July 20 but an abduction case was registered by the police on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, in another incident, a minor girl was abducted in Station Bazaria area. The 17-year-old girl was lured and abducted by a youth residing in her neighbourhood.
According to police sources, complainant Shahzad Khan, a resident of Sikandari Sarai, in his complaint told police that his minor daughter, a student of Class 7 was lured and abducted by accused Umar who also resides in the same locality.
Based on his complaint, police have registered a case of abduction under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and initiated further investigation to trace the abducted minor girl.
