BHOPAL: Two persons died in road accidents within the limits of Mandideep police station in the last 24 hours. In the first incident an employee of a private company died after he was run over by a speeding truck while he was going to get tea for the officials of the company from a hotel besides the highway.
In the second incident a truck driver was run over by a speeding vehicle on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday while he was crossing the road after parking his truck. According to Mandideep police, the deceased were identified as Rajesh, 50, son of Ram Prasad, resident of Rahul Nagar in Mandideep. He was a labourer at Steel Innovation Private Limited Company Mandideep. On Thursday evening around 5 pm he was going to get tea for the company officials when a speeding truck hit him. He died on the spot. Besides in another incident, the deceased was identified as Ramkishore alias Pappu, 25, son of Raghuveer, resident of Samardha Misrod. He was a truck driver and was crossing the road near Shiv Vilas Hotel on Thursday night when an unidentified vehicle hit him and fled the spot. Police have registered cases in both the cases against unidentified errant vehicle drivers and launched a manhunt to nab them.
