BHOPAL: A special judge of Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI), Bhopal has sentenced three years imprisonment and fine to then Branch Manager of Central Bank of India, Arera Hills, Bhopal, Kamlesh Kumar Chaurasia, Assistant Manager (credit) Vasant Pawase and two others in a case of fake loan.
A case was registered in February, 2010 against Chaurasia, Pawase and others for causing a financial loss of Rs 113.66 lakh to the Bank by approving home loans on the basis of fake documents between 2007 and 2009. A charge-sheet was submitted by CBI in the special court in July, 2011 against Chaurasia, Pawase, Rajendra Prasad Tiwari and owner of Rajdhani Construction and Developers Brijesh Singh Yadav. The accused have been sentenced under various provisions of Indian Penal Code and Elimination of Corruption Act, 1988.
