16 SIMI activists produced in court

Accused of attacking police patrol party in Indore

BHOPAL: Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) on Tuesday produced as many as 16 activists of the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) in the court of CJM Pankaj Singh Maheshwari. These activists were accused of attacking police party near a farm house at AB Road in Indore.

The ATS had submitted chargesheet against the accused on Monday. The SIMI terrorists broke Khandwa jail in October 2013 and also did a bomb blast in Sendhwa. Police had raided several places in Indore in order to catch them. When DSP Ajay Kaithwas was doing patrolling near a farm house, he was attacked by the youths.

Abu Faizal, Abdul Aziz, Abdul Wahid, Javed Nagori, Mohd. Adil, Irfan Nagori, Sajid alias Guddu, Majid Nagori, Khalid Ahmad, Sadiq Lunje, Umer, Zuber and Ahmad Muchal were produced in the court.
