BHOPAL: Fifteen new patients tested positive for dengue in the city on Friday. The number of dengue patients in Bhopal is the highest and the health department is blaming the weather for the rise in the number of patients. The number of patients from other districts is comparatively less than Bhopal.
On Friday, 15 patients from other districts tested positive; Five from Sagar, one each from Shahdol and Sehore, four from Rajgarh and two from Hoshangabad.
“The number of dengue patients in Bhopal is more than 275 and the number may increase because of the weather. The weather is very suitable for the breeding of the larvae.
Until the temperature drops to 15 degree or less, the mosquitoes will continue to breed. Special care has to be taken now”, said Dr Akhilesh Dubey, DMO.
