BHOPAL : Chief Secretary Anthony de Sa has directed to increase number of ambulances under Sanjeevni 108 Service in view of need of patients.
The CS was addressing a meeting at Mantralaya here on Saturday. The meeting was convened to discuss integrated operation of 108, Janani Express and Deendayal Mobile Hospital Service to improve emergency quick response ambulance service. Principal Secretary Health and Family Welfare Gauri Singh and Principal Secretaries of Medical Education, Panchayats & Rural Development and Home were also present at the meeting.
Presently, Sanjeevni 108 Service is operating 606 emergency quick response ambulances.
Similarly, Janani Express Service is operating 986 vehicles to transport pregnant women and children upto one year of age to hospitals and 80 Deendayal Mobile Hospitals are rendering service in SC, ST dominated development blocks. Sanjeevni 108 ambulances are being operated through Centralised Call Centre. Janani Express and Deendayal Mobile Hospitals are being operated separately.
Director of National Health Mission informed that efforts are afoot to make available the information regarding all facilities for quick emergency response ambulance service in the state on global positioning system (GPS).
