Like the rest of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ (FCA’s) international markets, the Italian-American conglomerate has now embarked on a journey to go ‘cohesive’ with its network strategy in India. FCA introduced the much-awaited, legendary American off-roading brand – Jeep – in the country earlier this year, while Fiat’s performance wing – Abarth – was introduced last year with the launch of the 595 Competizione, along with the Abarth Punto.

In an official release, Kevin Flynn, president and MD, FCA India, commented on the opening of the destination stores: “We intend to provide our customers with a sales and service experience as a cohesive process, one that will demonstrate our commitment that will make FCA’s existing and future customer base feel very special indeed. Our premium Destination Stores set the benchmark and reflect our new strategy and intent. All of FCA’s new Destination Stores are designed to offer a comprehensive brand experience. In addition to the care that customers will receive inside our showrooms and workshops, we have plans for outside, and will introduce Camp Jeep in India – our international property that will be an opportunity for customers to appreciate off-roading the Jeep way.”

The country’s first destination store, which will retail Fiat, Abarth and Jeep vehicles, was opened in Mumbai recently. This dealership network, which will grow further in the near future, has a presence in New Delhi and Chennai as well. The next product to be retailed from these destination stores will be Jeep’s first-ever, made-in-India SUV – the Compass. It was revealed in Brazil recently and will be launched in India in mid-2017.
