Shocking reply

In a recent discussion arranged by a TV news channel, attended by the top industrialists and bankers the HDFC Chairman Deepak Parekh slammed the media for ‘giving continuous coverage and importance to (the anti-corruption activist) Arvind Kejriwal.’ According to Mr. Parekh the media should give coverage to more important issues. Shockingly, he said that corruption can never be eradicated from India.

Thus, he tried his best to please the top industrialists and bankers and encourage corruption in India forever. More shockingly, he also said in reply to a journalist’s question that he will never give any advice related to economic matters to Kejriwal. This clearly means that he is not at all interested in eradication of corruption by any industrialist, banks or any political party.

 “Oh…God…save our country…”

The faces of contemporary political leaders do not show the slightest sign of scholarship on their faces, rather depict violence, frustration and depression. BJP guys may praise Swami Vivekanand but sure none of them have seen, at least, the 12 Volumes of Swami Vivekanand. Same thing with Gandhians and Shivajians seldom anyone had gone through the Autobiography of Gandhiji ‘My Experiments with Truth’. Similarly, those who use the name of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who might not gave read the history books on Shivaji Maharaj. Nehruvians also come under the same category who might not have seen the master pieces of Jawharlal Nehru ‘Discovery of India’ and’ Glimpses of World History’ written from the prisons! Unfortunately, other than the Battalion of Lawyer turned politicians (90 per cent of the political leaders are ‘unemployed’ Lawyers!) How can we expect scholarship from these Goons who call themselves as Leaders? One fellow is calling another man’s wife as 50 crore girl friend! Another fellow is comparing Dawood with Swami Vivekanand Another person in Digvijaya Singh has questioned why Modi is hiding his wife? Another fellow is taking his gun and threatening Toll collector! Another guy, that too, a senior Union Cabinet minister threatened of Blood and Boxing in Farukkabad! Nitish looks like a ‘Pick pocketer’ thus spake Mayawati and Lalu Prasad looks like child lifter from Railway platforms!

Political maturity

It is not understood what has happened to our politicians who have lost all maturity and thoughtfulness when a person none other President of main Opposition Party BJP, though unintentionally, dared to compare Swami Vivekanand with under-world don Dawood Ibrahim. Highly irresponsible statement of Nitin Gadkari, already under cloud for his shabby business-companies, has created more trouble and embarrassment for his party which cannot be overcome by any clarification. So many ambitious aspirants in BJP for a single Prime Ministerial post may weaken poll-prospects of the party in next elections signs of which have already started appearing Mahesh Jethmalani declined to be in party’s Executive Committee with Nitin Gadkari as its President.

Traffic Buster

It is absolutely correct that traffic rule are hardly being followed in New Panvel. It is very nice to see that traffic police have started towing two wheelers who have parked their vehicle in No Parking areas. But it is utter surprise that traffic police are not towing four wheelers, auto in the No Parking areas. So many four wheelers are parked in No Parking areas without any fear? Is the rule not applicable for them? Why these vehicles are not towed? Because they are all local leaders? Traffic rules are equal for everybody?

Due to heavy traffic congestion and rapid development, the CIDCO have joined hands with Navi Mumbai police to stream line the traffic in New Panvel. Traffic police mission will not be successful if they are not towing other vehicles. And the traffic jam and in convenience to the other vehicles and pedestrians will not be solved. Now New Panvel citizens should come forward to appreciate traffic police efforts and help them to bring about traffic sense and discipline among the drivers who flout traffic rules.

Whither criminal administration?

The other day, at a press conference in Mumbai, a former Indian Police Service Officer turned lawyer, YP Singh alleged that the Mumbai Police had deliberately slept over the trial of celebrated cine actor, Salman Khan in a case of causing deaths due to rash and negligent driving some years ago. He accused the Mumbai police of deliberately not serving summons on 24 of the 34 witnesses and with some help of the police accused Salman Khan is avoiding to appear in the court to face trial forcing the court to postpone the hearings. It appears necessary that an inquiry by an impartial person into the allegations is held and completed within one month to arrive at the truth or otherwise of the allegation. Prima facie, it appears that the people with deep pockets, if they pull the right strings, can do anything at time. What then are the safeguards for the poor and helpless?

Batsmen need to be more efficient

After suffering a disastrous defeat from the Indian cricket team Pakistani fans were shocked and bitterly disappointed. India proved that they were superior to Pakistan in T20 cricket. Even in the last 8 Quarter finals India defeated South Africa .

Only on account of run-rate Pakistan scraped through to the Semi-finals but even this ” Fluke “victory was in doubt as Australia seems to have obliged Pakistan? The tragedy for Pakistan was that even this victory was short lived as once again Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan decisively and sent them packing home! A post mortem of India’s team will show that Harbhajan Singh should not have been excluded and our batsmen need be more efficient in delivering at the right time.
