Smriti Mandhana To Meg Lanning: Most Expensive Captains In WPL 2024

RCB skipper Smriti Mandhana is the most expensive captain in WPL thus far, fetching ₹3.4 crore in the auction. However, she had a forgettable tournament in 2023.

Beth Mooney had fetched ₹2 crore in the WPL auction 2023 from the Gujarat Giants. But Mooney played only 1 match in the season before being ruled out due to calf strain.

Current Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur was appointed the captain of Mumbai Indians ahead of WPL 2023. She fetched ₹1.8 crore in the auction and finished with 281 runs in 10 matches.
