BJP Delhi President Virendra Sachdeva claimed the renovation cost, labeled the "Sheesh Mahal," amounted to Rs 33.86 crore, arguing that the actual expenses might be as high as Rs 75-80 crore when including item inventories from 2023 and 2024.

The costs for Gym, sauna, jacuzzi priced at Rs 1.9 Cr, installation Rs 1.5 Cr, equipment Rs 35 Lakh, total Rs 3.75 Cr respectively according to reports.
The CAG report flagged “extra items” worth Rs 18.88 crore, including artistic and ornamental work and raised concerns about irregularities in tendering.

National spokesperson CR Kesavan criticized Kejriwal for betraying the people of Delhi and for a decade of government corruption. The CAG report indicated that the renovation cost soared to Rs 33.66 crore, far above the initial estimate of Rs 7.9 crore.

Furthermore, the BJP has asserted that Arvind Kejriwal has not yet completely vacated the CM official residence at 6 Flagstaff Road in Delhi.

AAP refuted claims, saying it is a official residence and not a personal property belonging to Kejriwal and stating the decrepit home, built in 1942, had leaking roofs, with some collapsing; improvements suggested by Public Works.

The renovation, initiated in 2020, included expensive luxury items such as high-end TVs, refrigerators, and wellness facilities, drawing significant criticism from both the BJP and Congress as they prepare for the upcoming polls amid ongoing economic challenges.
