Hon’ble Governor Of Maharashtra Presides Over 3rd Convocation Of HSNC University; 37 Students Awarded Gold Medals
HSNC University, Mumbai, held its 3rd Convocation on January 9, 2025, honouring 37 medallists and Dr. Hiranandani's tenure. Governor Radhakrishnanji inspired graduates, while green initiatives highlighted the university's sustainable vision.

HSNC University, Mumbai, celebrated its 3rd Convocation on 9th January 2025, with the Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra and Chancellor of HSNC University, Shri C.P. Radhakrishnanji, presiding over the ceremony. The event was graced by dignitaries including Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, Provost, HSNC University; Col. Dr. Hemlata K. Bagla, Vice Chancellor, HSNC University and Mr. Anil Harish, President & Trustee, HSNC Board.
During the ceremony, Hon’ble Governor Radhakrishnanji conferred gold medals to 37 outstanding students. He also presented a special citation to Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, acknowledging his outstanding contributions as his tenure as the Provost comes to an end. The citation, signed by Vice Chancellor Dr. Bagla, celebrated Dr. Hiranandani’s exemplary leadership and vision for HSNC University.
In his motivating address, Hon’ble Governor Radhakrishnanji emphasised the importance of lifelong learning, resilience and utilising knowledge for the greater good of society. Drawing lessons from the Mahabharata, he encouraged graduates to face challenges with perseverance, prioritising self-care, personal growth and avoiding comparisons with others. Reflecting on his own life, he pointed out how setbacks can pave the way to future success.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Bagla outlined the University’s achievements and shared its future roadmap, including plans to expand academic programs and introduce new schools. She also highlighted the University’s successful implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the continued commitment to skill development. Dr. Hiranandani recounted the University’s journey, detailing how it thrived even during the pandemic.
Mr. Anil Harish lauded the University’s growth and congratulated the graduates, urging them to embrace curiosity, creativity and resilience in their future endeavours.
The event also witnessed the inauguration of a newly revamped traffic island near HSNC University’s Worli campus, which now features lush greenery and a water fountain. This green initiative is part of HSNC University’s commitment to environmental sustainability and community development.
