Mumbai Police Linked Gangster Prafulla Patkar To Murder Plot Of NCP Leader Sachin Kurmi
Mumbai Police Crime Branch identified Prafulla Patkar as the gang leader behind the murder plot of NCP leader Sachin Kurmi. The prosecution secured custody of Patkar and two others until December 10, citing strong accusations.

The Mumbai Police Crime Branch has claimed that Prafulla Patkar is the gang leader instrumental in plotting the murder of NCP (Ajit Pawar) leader Sachin Kurmi. The police had last month invoked provisions of MCOCA in the case, calling Patkar the leader of the gang.

The prosecution has obtained custody of the three accused — Patkar, Ananda Kale alias Anya (39) and Vijay Kakde alias Papya (34) — till December 10 from the special MCOCA court. Later, the custody of the accused was transferred to the special court. The court said that the accusation was well-founded, and remanded them to police custody till December 10.
